I Feel Neuroscience
A talk with live VR painting inside the brain.
I stand inside a brain I have taken apart and rearranged, and paint in it while the audience watches my view on the big screen and tells me where to go. Lobes, tracts and vessels become walls and arches; my luminous ribbons and creature-like forms grow out of them.
You see my view
My headset view is mirrored to the Museum's screen while I paint, live, in front of you.
You direct the build
The audience chooses which region we enter and what grows there. No headset, no equipment.
A brain made by a brain
As I draw, I talk about what sent me into neuroscience and the hypothesis that drives my practice.
Amygdala Land
The more neuroscience I learned, the stranger my life became. Love, fear, memory and imagination emerge from cells, chemicals and networks of living tissue—how can matter do all this? I took a digital brain apart and rearranged its organic structures into a scalloped, mermaid-like tunnel: a world to travel through. I responded with my signature luminous ribbons, branching gestures and creature-like sculptures, turning anatomy into an emotional landscape. This is my life story reframed through a physical lens: I stretched, displaced and reinvented the structures that make experience possible. Filmed as a journey through this alien world, it invites viewers to share my astonishment at the material of being alive. A brain made this. One brain walking through another.
A Brain Did This
A VR app in which visitors paint inside brain anatomy themselves: the structures become a space to explore, and whatever they draw becomes part of it. The brain model and painting tools exist today, built on Open Brush; the app is being developed around them for hands-on sessions.
